When I saw this picture, I immediately LOVED it. I have contemplated painting a chalkboard wall in my house for sometime now, and this pic totally convinced me to just do it! So I did. It's drying. It takes four days until you can actually write on it with chalk. I was thinking, perhaps, in Arizona, things dry a little faster. So maybe I'll have pictures to post a little sooner.

That is an amazing picture. I have a chalk board wall in my kitchen and on the door to my cedar closet (between the two boys rooms). Everyone loves them. There is always a very creative scene on the closet door. Right now it is a Humpty Dumpty Pirate battling spongebob and his gang!!! We have wanted to paint the big wall in Race's room chalkboard, but he is hesitant of the dark! You are going to love your new wall!! :) KIM

Cool Angela! We have a chalk board wall in our kitchen too, and its great fun when people come over, everyone goes crazy with the chalk.

My only complaint about it is, its very hard to erase...we usually get a big sponge and give the whole wall a wash. But it never seems to go back to as black as it was originally.

I'd love to see photos of your wall!

Absolutely love the Esther Williams pics. I was a swimmer in high school and have loved her movies (especially the one where she is a swim suit designer)and personality forever. Your blog is adorable. Thank You, Erin
